Lovely cottage in a great location, convenient for exploring Wye Valley and surrounding area. Dark sky area so had the bonus of seeing deep into space with amazing stars from the raised patio at night.

Richard,

We have just come back from a wonderful couple of days staying at Jam Pot . The apartment was wonderful. Nestled in the valley with glorious views from every angle or window . There is also a lovely decking area outside to relax with a cup of tea or glass of wine and just take in the amazing views. . You really feel that you are in the middle of nowhere and yet you are close to everywhere . Helen was a fabulous host . A great communicator who replied to any messages I sent before and whilst there immediately. She gave us great tips and walks to go on and was very accommodating. There is everything you need in the apartment . It is lovely and cosy and so near to lovely pubs, cafes and restaurants . We particularly enjoyed Ye old Ferry inn , a lovely pub which was a five minute walk from the property overlooking the river and the food was gorgeous. The Woods cafe also only about a 10 minute walk do a fabulous breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation. It really was a lovely. Thank you Helen x

Marie,

Fabulous location and a nice little flat. Pics are accurate. Helen was a great communicator and we had good directions and support while we were at Jam Pots.

Lesley,

Great location for exploring the area and fantastic view across to the river and beyond from the lounge and kitchen.Clean and well equipped. The second bedroom is small but clever built in storage has space for two carry on/weekend suitcases as well as cupboard and wardrobe. Ate at the Old Ferrie Inn and the Saracen's Head, both excellent.

Helena,

Perfect location. Places to eat within walking distance. Ferry at ye old ferrie inn runs weekends to get to the other side of the river where you can walk up to the views at the rock. Accommodation had everything we needed.

Had a lovely time. The views were awesome.

Lucy,

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway with the beautiful Wye Valley and Forest of Dean on the doorstep.

Mark,

We loved our stay at Jam Pots! Everything was super clean, really well equipped, comfortable, and the views are amazing! The decking was a really great perk for eating and drinking outside, and the location meant that everywhere was walkable - pubs, shops, public footpath walks, canoe hire etc - we didn't use the car once!

Jenny,

Jampots is an idyllic retreat amongst the hills of the Wye Valley. Helen has thought of everything and even leaves milk and cookies to enjoy on your arrival. Scrupulously clean with a comfortable bed as well as a spacious outdoor eating area with incomparable views. An easy walk to teh river and places to eat that are vegetarian friendly.

Louise,

A lovely cosy apartmentwith great views and a good location for walking. I didn't have a car and it was easy to get there and around. Helen is a very thoughtful host, the apartment had everything I needed and she checked in on me during a power cut. Would definitely recommend!

Zoe,

We had a lovely relaxing weekend in Helen's beautiful apartment. It has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. We had amazing wether and the raised decking has great views and is perfect for sitting when you are waking up with a coffee in the morning or whiling away the evenings in perfect surroundings. There is also a BBQ which we didn't use but it's there if you wish to use it. We met Helen when we first arrived who is very friendly and gave us lots of information about the surreounding area. Helen was very communicative and helpful before our arrival and throughout our stay. Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth are around a 10 minute drive away for a larger shop, otherwise there is a small convenience store, Woods of Whitchurch which is just a 10 minute stroll away and had everything we needed. We cycled to Monmouth which took us around 2 hours to get there as we took a scenic route which is straight down the west side of the river. This is great if you are walking, but not really suitable for bikes, so make sure you cross to the east side by the hand ferry or Bibblins bridge if cycling. It has a great cycle path and only took around an hour and a half on the way back. Ye Old Ferrie Inn is a fantastic pub that serves great food and has a great outside area by the river side, highly recommended and just a short walk away. The Saracen's Head Inn on the east side is also nice serving great food. Of course you can't visit Symonds Yat without a visit to Symonds Yat Rock. We drove but if you want to walk it, it looks quite straight forward. Stunning views at the top. We also visited King Arthur's Caves which is a nice walk, although we found it a little hard to find, and did the river cruise which is relaxing and informative about the area. We would love t return to the area and would definitely stay im Helen's apartment again, it really is a home from home.

Kerry,

Smart, clean well appointed apartment with a super view. Everything you need although the internet is a bit average. Loved the sheep!

Laurie,

Great location and incredible views from the cottage. Helen was very helpful with suggestions for things to do. Our favourite things to do in the area were cycling in the Forest of Dean, canoeing the Wye and going to Puzzlewood. Monmouth is very close for groceries and cafes. And Ye Olde Ferrie Inn is excellent and within walking distance!
